A laser by El.En. is used to celebrate the friendship between Florence and the United States

On July 4th, at 10pm, a laser beam connected Florence to the United States of America. The light beam originated from Palazzo Vecchio and reached the Amerigo Vespucci bridge, a few steps away from the US Consulate General in Florence.

The event was promoted by the Amerigo Association in collaboration with the United States Consulate General in Florence, the CR Firenze Foundation and El.En. Group S.p.a., under the patronage of the Municipality of Florence. The aim was to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the US diplomatic presence in Florence.
